Healthy recipes with plenty of flavour: make everyday meals more varied

The Yumlean editorial team

Healthy cooking can include pasta, crêpes and desserts. At Yumlean, the starting point is a dish you actually look forward to making and eating. Quantities and estimated macros provide useful reference points without turning every meal into a calculation.

Start with dishes you already enjoy

Make a short list of favourite meals and the occasions when you run out of ideas: a packed lunch, dinner after a busy day or a weekend breakfast. Then choose recipes that suit those occasions. A recipe that looks good on paper is less useful if it needs equipment you do not own or more time than you have.

Vary the format as well as the ingredients

Alternate between oven dishes, pasta, mixed plates, soup and food to share. Think about texture and sauces too. The same ingredient can play a different role in another dish. Aim to build several familiar options instead of starting a completely different shopping list every week.

Read the recipe before shopping

Check the number of servings, total time and ingredients already in your cupboard. Look for products that can be used in another meal. When macros are shown, check that you are reading the values per serving and follow the instructions about raw or cooked weights. Substitutions and different brands can change these estimates.

Inside the Yumlean guide

The ebook includes 60 illustrated recipes with measured ingredients, preparation steps, estimated macros and a short preparation video for each recipe. You will find breakfasts, main dishes, desserts and sauces, plus budget-friendly alternatives. French, English and Arabic versions are included. It is a recipe collection, with no personalised plan or promise of weight loss.
