1. About us
These terms concern the yumlean.com website and the Yumlean digital guide. Contact: contact@yumlean.com.
The website is hosted by Hostinger. Payments are processed through Barid Payment.
2. Scope and acceptance
These general terms of sale and use (the “Terms”) govern all orders for the Guide placed on the Website, as well as use of the Guide after purchase.
By ticking “I have read and accept the terms of sale and use” before paying, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted them without reservation. No order can be completed without this acceptance. We retain evidence of your acceptance, including the date, time and order reference.
Anyone placing an order declares that they are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract.
3. Product description
The Guide is a digital PDF file containing 60 illustrated recipes, with ingredients, quantities, preparation steps and estimated nutritional values per serving.
It is provided in three language versions: French, English and Arabic. All three versions are included in a single purchase.
The Guide is a recipe book. It is not:
• a diet, meal programme or personalised nutrition plan;
• a coaching, monitoring or consultation service;
• a medical, dietetic or allied health device or advice;
• a printed book. No physical item is shipped.
The photographs are illustrative. They do not necessarily represent the weighed portions described in the recipes.
4. No medical advice
The Guide is provided for general information and culinary inspiration. It does not constitute medical, dietetic or nutritional advice and cannot replace a consultation with a doctor, dietitian or other qualified healthcare professional.
Before changing your diet, particularly if any of the following applies to you, you must consult a healthcare professional:
• pregnancy, breastfeeding or planning a pregnancy;
• diabetes, cardiovascular, kidney, liver, digestive or thyroid disease;
• a past or present eating disorder;
• ongoing medical treatment;
• a very low or very high body mass index;
• intensive or competitive sports;
• being under 18 or a frail older person.
Yumlean cannot know your health status or adapt the Guide to your individual circumstances. You remain solely responsible for the food choices you make using the Guide.
5. No promise of results
Yumlean does not promise or guarantee any results of any kind: weight loss or gain, changes in body shape, muscle gain, improvements in health, sporting performance, energy or well-being.
Any change in weight or body composition depends on many factors beyond the Guide: energy expenditure, genetics, sleep, health, quantities actually consumed and physical activity. Any published testimonials reflect individual experiences and do not predict other people's results.
6. Allergies, intolerances and special diets
This section is essential. Please read it carefully.
The recipes in the Guide contain or may contain allergens, including gluten, eggs, milk and dairy products, fish, crustaceans, tree nuts, peanuts, soy, sesame, celery, mustard, sulphites, lupin and molluscs.
Some recipes use dietary supplements such as protein powders (whey or plant proteins). These products may contain allergens, sweeteners or additives that vary between brands.
Labels such as “vegan”, “vegetarian”, “gluten-free” or “lactose-free” in the Guide are indicative, based on the ingredients listed. They do not take into account the brands you use or possible cross-contamination during manufacturing or in your kitchen.
Accordingly, you agree to:
• read the label of every product you buy and check for allergens yourself;
• adapt, replace or avoid preparing any recipe containing an ingredient to which you, or someone you serve, are allergic or intolerant;
• never rely solely on the Guide's labels in the event of a severe allergy;
• consult an allergist or doctor if in doubt.
Yumlean cannot be held responsible for an allergic reaction, intolerance or any condition related to consuming an ingredient, supplement or dish prepared using the Guide.
7. Hygiene and food safety
You are solely responsible for preparing, cooking, storing and consuming the dishes. In particular, you agree to:
• observe appropriate cooking temperatures, particularly for meat, poultry, fish, seafood and eggs;
• follow refrigerator and freezer storage rules and the indicative storage times given in the Guide, which do not replace your own judgement about food freshness;
• check products for freshness and use-by dates;
• follow precautions applicable to vulnerable people, pregnant women and young children, particularly for raw or undercooked products;
• use your appliances, including ovens, hobs, microwaves and blenders, in accordance with their manufacturers' instructions.
Cooking and preparation times are estimates that vary with equipment and quantities.
8. Nutritional values
The calories, protein, carbohydrates and fat stated for each recipe are estimates calculated per serving using standard nutritional databases and common ingredients.
These values may differ significantly from actual values depending on brands, product variety and ripeness, weighing accuracy, cooking methods and substitutions. They are neither a guarantee nor a laboratory analysis and must not be used as the basis for medical treatment, such as calculating an insulin dose.
9. Prices and payment
Prices are displayed on the Website in the selected currency: Moroccan dirham (MAD), euro (EUR) or US dollar (USD). The applicable price is the one displayed when the order is confirmed. This is a one-time purchase, with no subscription or recurring payment.
Prices include taxes where applicable. Any currency conversion or banking fees charged by your bank remain your responsibility.
Payment is made online by bank card through our payment provider's secure platform. The Website does not collect or store your card details. The order becomes binding when the provider confirms payment.
Yumlean reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order in the event of declined payment, suspected fraud or misuse of a promotional code.
Promotional offers and crossed-out prices are valid for the period stated on the Website. The crossed-out price corresponds to the selling price outside the promotional period.
10. Delivery of the Guide
The Guide is digital content. Once payment is confirmed, a download link is provided on the confirmation page, including a private link that can be used on another device. If a delivery email is sent, its status appears on the confirmation page. Access remains available for 90 days. You are responsible for saving the file to your devices within that period.
You are responsible for entering a valid email address and checking your spam folder. If you experience access difficulties, contact contact@yumlean.com with your order reference. We undertake to provide new access within a reasonable time.
Reading the Guide requires a device and software capable of opening a PDF file. Yumlean is not responsible for incompatibilities relating to your equipment or connection.
11. Right of withdrawal and refunds
The Guide is digital content supplied without a physical medium, performance of which begins as soon as the download link is made available.
In accordance with the regulations applicable to digital content, in particular Article L221-28, paragraph 13, of the French Consumer Code for European Union consumers, by confirming the order, you expressly acknowledge that access to the Guide begins immediately after payment and that you waive your right of withdrawal.
Consequently, no refund is granted once the download link has been made available, except in the following cases:
• a technical inability to access the file that Yumlean has not resolved within 7 days of your report;
• a confirmed duplicate payment for the same order;
• the file supplied does not match the description in section 3.
All requests must be sent to contact@yumlean.com with the order reference. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 days.
12. Intellectual property and licence to use
The Guide, its texts, recipes, photographs, layouts, the Yumlean brand and the Website are protected by intellectual property law and remain the exclusive property of Yumlean or its rights holders.
Your purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-assignable licence to use the Guide for strictly private purposes. You may read it on your own devices and print it for yourself.
Without prior written permission from Yumlean, you must not:
• copy, reproduce, share, transmit or publish all or part of the Guide, including screenshots, on social media, messaging groups or file-sharing websites;
• sell, resell, rent, lend or distribute the Guide, whether free of charge or for payment;
• modify, translate or adapt the Guide, or remove its branding;
• use the Guide's content professionally or commercially, for example in catering, coaching or training, without a specific licence.
Each file may contain a mark identifying the original order. Any breach may result in termination of the licence without refund and legal proceedings.
Any product or supplement brands mentioned in the Guide belong to their respective owners. Their mention does not imply any partnership or endorsement unless stated otherwise.
13. Liability
Yumlean undertakes to provide a Guide that matches its description. To the extent permitted by law:
• Yumlean cannot be held liable for direct or indirect damage arising from use of the Guide, including allergic reactions, intolerance, food poisoning, kitchen injuries, property damage, health problems, lack of results, or loss of time or income.
• If Yumlean is found liable, its liability is limited to the amount actually paid for the order concerned.
• Yumlean is not responsible for third-party content, products or services linked from the Website or the Guide, or for the payment provider's practices.
• Yumlean does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Website. It may be suspended for maintenance or reasons beyond its control.
These limitations do not apply to gross negligence or intentional misconduct by Yumlean, or to rights that consumers cannot waive under the law applicable to them.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Moroccan law.
In the event of a dispute, you agree first to contact Yumlean at contact@yumlean.com to seek an amicable solution. If no agreement is reached within 30 days, the dispute may be brought before the competent courts, subject to the mandatory consumer protection rules applicable in your country of residence.
Consumers may use the out-of-court dispute resolution arrangements applicable to their situation.
15. Personal data
When you place an order, we collect your email address, the order reference, amount, currency and status, and any referral code. This data is used exclusively to process your purchase, deliver the Guide, provide support and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
It is shared only with our technical service providers: hosting provider, payment provider and email delivery service. You will not be subscribed to a newsletter without your explicit consent.
You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection and data portability, which you can exercise by contacting contact@yumlean.com. Details are provided on our Information and privacy page.
16. Promotional and referral codes
Promotional and referral codes are personal, cannot be combined unless stated otherwise, and are valid for the stated period. Yumlean may suspend or cancel a code in the event of abuse or fraud. A referral code attributes the sale to the relevant partner and gives the buyer no rights other than any discount displayed.
17. Changes to the Terms and the Guide
Yumlean may amend these Terms at any time. The Terms applicable to an order are those in force and accepted when that order is placed.
Yumlean may update, correct or supplement the Guide. Any updates offered to buyers are provided free of charge and without obligation.
18. Miscellaneous provisions
If any provision of these Terms is declared invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Yumlean's failure to enforce a provision does not constitute a waiver of it. These Terms are written in French; in the event of a translation, the French version prevails.
